Monterey Country Club Wedding

What do you do when two worlds collide? He’s from Arizona and she’s from California. Simple, you meet in the middle. And that’s exactly what Michelle and Ruben did as they chose to have their wedding reception and ceremony in Palm Desert. This way, neither side of their guests would have to drive off too far into the others direction, and also, how cool is it to be able to have a destination wedding where everyone can enjoy an October weekend getaway!

The ceremony began in Cathedral City, which later lead us to the Monterey Country Club in Palm Desert for both photos and the reception. During their portraits, we took time to walk around the property and take photos that showcased the greenery, weeping willow tree, pond, stairs, and overall architecture of the country club. We even got to ride around in one of the golf carts and take photos of the groom and groomsmen riding around in it. And even though it was a windy day, we managed to take gorgeous veil shots with the bride and groom, which to this day are one of my favorite wedding photos I’ve ever taken.

From there, the reception soon started. Michelle and Ruben did their father and daughter/son and mother dances, followed by their first dance. Finally, before calling it a night, the newlyweds made their getaway with a sparkler exit. Another cute and picturesque moment of them.
